Happy New Year, dear friends! How was your NYE? How is your 2023 going so far?
Sometimes, I need to surprise myself with a task that I thought I won’t be able to do. So today, I will challenge myself to write this blog in an hour. It will be a little exercise to hone a habit I’ve been trying to achieve since last year. And that is the habit of the most successful people. FOCUS, my one-word theme last 2022.
I have multi-year goals that I need to stay seriously focused on. I needed a word that matches my goals, like a sequel to last year’s theme.
“Devote” is a perfect word from which I can get motivation for my daily goals.
To devote is to give most of one’s time or resources to a person or activity. On my journal page, I would always write my first and foremost goal: To see Jesus every day. To pursue God even more.
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33)
Since our last pilgrimage in Jerusalem, I could not just keep to myself but share what I had seen, heard, touched, and felt that led me to glorify the Lord and announce His great love for us. I have this strong desire to share my experience and my profound joy of being a follower of Christ.
It is not how much I know but how much I love that makes me a follower of Jesus. I pray that I seek and respond to His call with great enthusiasm and honesty. And that I can keep up the sharing of my Gospel reflections in the way Mama Mary is pondering the unfolding touch of the Divine in her heart.
And all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33)
Like everyone, I have put my dreams inside my heart (also listed them on the first front pages of my journal). The Lord will take us on this journey of fulfilling our dreams. He will guide us to spend our precious time, thoughts, and energy on important things. He will provide our needs, especially patience, courage, and strength. Because this will not be about the speed and all the instants. The process of going there is what makes us. With the Lord, we will surely enjoy our ride getting there.
Have the best year and a fantastic 2023 ahead! I love you with the love of the Lord. Shalom, Shalom!
